ABC + VIN DI Bona Productions AFV Vin Di Bona Productions called us to refresh the branding on one of the most iconic television shows of all time: America’s Funniest Home Videos. AFV’s graphics had not been updated in quite some time, so there was a lot of excitement on both sides to create a revamped package that felt modern and fun, while still versatile enough to last for years to come. There also couldn’t have been a better time to do so, with AFV moving into the future with a totally new set and new host, Alfonso Ribeiro. Our graphics package included two new revamped logos, a main title sequence, in-show graphics, and on-set graphics.
AFV Graphics Sizzle
PROCESS: Light, Camera, Action, Graphics. Bringing our visuals to set From the start we knew aspects from the set would inform of our graphics, and that aspects from our graphics would inform the set. It was one those unique opportunities where graphics are able to shine even brighter. We extended the visual language of our main title sequence to a series of ambient animations rendered at non-standard ultra high resolutions, to bring an added layer of life to the set.
DESIGN PROCESS: Pixels at play We believe in the design process. That means dedicating time to explore curiosities, and playing freely in design. It also sometimes means unexpected turns along the way that ultimately leads us to the heart of every creative challenge.
